Electronics Technician

The Electronics Technician will test, troubleshoot, repair, and support the assembly of integrated unit-level assemblies and circuit board assemblies down to the component level. This on-site role involves working from engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and written work instructions to perform in-circuit and functional testing, subassembly and final unit integration, and calibration of complex electronic products.

Responsibilities
  • Perform in-circuit and functional tests on complex circuit card assemblies to verify proper operation and identify faults.
  • Troubleshoot electronic assemblies down to the component level using test procedures, engineering drawings, and electrical schematics.
  • Repair circuit board assemblies and integrated unit-level assemblies based on test results and diagnostic findings.
  • Support assembly processes for unit subassemblies and the final integration of unit-level assemblies.
  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot subassembly-level components to ensure they meet performance and quality requirements.
  • Integrate, test, calibrate, and troubleshoot complex end-item units to ensure full system functionality.
  • Use mechanical skills to disassemble and reassemble products according to drawings or other documents using common hand tools.
  • Read, interpret, and follow written work instructions, electronic schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately.
  • Independently diagnose complex circuitry and identify root causes of electronic failures.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams as needed to resolve technical issues and improve test and repair processes.
Essential Skills
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related program from an accredited institution, or equivalent military training in electronics.
  • Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuitry and the ability to troubleshoot complex assemblies to the component level.
  • Ability to understand and follow written work instructions, electronic schematics, and mechanical drawings.
  • Demonstrated capability to diagnose complex circuitry independently.
  • Hands-on experience performing in-circuit and functional tests on electronic assemblies.
  • Mechanical aptitude to safely disassemble and reassemble products using common tools.
  • Solid understanding of electronics engineering principles applied to testing, troubleshooting, and repair.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working as a test technician or in a similar electronics testing and troubleshooting role.
  • Background in electronics engineering or electrical engineering environments.
  • Familiarity with both unit subassembly and final integration processes for electronic products.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing, diagnostics, and documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex technical tasks.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position at a headquarters facility in Oak Creek, WI. The role operates on a 1st shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You will work in a technical production and test environment that involves electronic assemblies, test equipment, and common mechanical tools. The setting emphasizes safety, precision, and adherence to documented procedures, with close collaboration between technicians and engineering staff.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
