In this fast-paced, high-energy environment where great guest service is essential, how do we ensure that our guests are happy with our service and enjoy their slots playing experience? As a Slot Performance Assistant Manager, you will assist in leading the Slot Performance team and monitor overall slot machine maintenance and performance. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (
* Essential Functions)
Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training team members; scheduling and motivating team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.Work closely with Slot Performance Manager to oversee and coordinate all activities related to slot performance. Recommend strategies to improve operations and ensure optimal guest service.Conduct slot performance audits and summarize all pertinent data. Use data to ensure compliance and to develop, prioritize, and implement effective strategies for growth and efficiency of technical operations in the Slot department.Provide technical oversight and direction for slot games, floor plans, and conversion requests. Plan and implement new game installations and slot machine moves, working closely with slot vendors, in-house personnel, and the gaming commission.Review and evaluate slot maintenance departmental performance, working with management and other department heads in resolving unsatisfactory results or conditions. Observe all areas of responsibility with frequent walk-throughs and conversations with team members and guests.Stay up-to-date with gaming trends and game security developments.Monitor the performance of outside services and the execution of all maintenance contracts.Execute programs which improve guest service, team building, team efficiency, and team member morale.Held accountable to the highest degree for the accuracy and thoroughness of department records and reports.Ensure smooth operations of all slot maintenance functions. Keep all equipment in a functional state of repair and maintain accurate inventory of hardware.Maintain strong working knowledge of local, state, federal, and tribal gaming laws and regulations.Communicate Slot department information to management, team members, and other departments.Establish, update, and ensure full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.Perform other duties as assigned.Job Qualifications
A high school diploma and 3 years of progressively responsible, related gaming experience in a department of similar size are required. An Associate's degree can take the place of 2 years of experience.Two (2) years of managerial experience is required.Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.Strong influencing and relationship-management skills. The ability to interact with stakeholders of all levels and understand the interests of multiple stakeholders and how those interests relate to Potawatomi Hotel & Casino (PH&C) and its goals.The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the office and property for duration of scheduled shift. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must be able to operate a personal computer.
The team member is required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Working Conditions
The noise level is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free.
