Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

We are seeking a Controller for a private equity–backed organization poised for its next phase of growth. This is a true build-and-evolve role reporting directly to the CFO, designed for a leader who excels in dynamic environments and enjoys creating structure where it doesn’t yet fully exist. This person will have the opportunity to strengthen infrastructure, refine processes, and help scale the finance function to support continued growth.

• Oversee GAAP financial reporting for ownership, lenders, and executive leadership
• Lead and mentor a 3–4 person accounting team; act as primary liaison to external auditors
• Manage all aspects of plant accounting, including inventory, standard costing, labor allocation, WIP, variances, scrap/rework, fixed assets, A/R, A/P, and month-end close
• Review monthly financial results, explain performance drivers, and lead cost and margin improvement efforts
• Safeguard the accuracy of product costing and provide actionable operational insights
• Identify and strengthen processes, controls, and reporting capabilities as the organization grows

• CPA required
• Manufacturing or plant finance experience strongly preferred
• Prior experience in a PE-backed or sponsor-owned company is highly desirable
• Ability to balance strategic perspective with hands-on execution
• Demonstrated success in building processes and leading change initiatives
