Financial Analyst

Overview

Our client is an organization in the Winnebago County area that’s looking for a Financial Analyst
. Our client is looking for someone with 1+ years of experience, detail-oriented, and an inquisitive mindset. This company offers opportunities for career development, a collaborative team, and competitive benefits. This position is onsite.

The salary for this position is $60k - $65k.

• Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, allocations, eliminations, and adjustments.
• Create, analyze, and interpret financial reports; research variances and prepare clear explanations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting and reporting issues to ensure accurate financial results.
• Assist with reporting, analysis, and performance insights.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and U.S. GAAP, while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Standardize accounting and reporting processes and identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
• Prepare intercompany invoices and confirmations and provide audit support to internal and external auditors.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned by management.

• 1 year+ of relevant experience in accounting or financial reporting and analysis
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate accounting concepts and strategies to all associate levels.
