Position: Pricing Intern - Summer 2026

We are looking for a collaborative, curious, and solution-oriented intern to join our Pricing Implementation team. Come learn about MGIC's internal processes and several professions such as Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Software Development, and Quality Assurance Testing, while gaining valuable business experience.

How will you make an impact?
  • Learn about MGIC and the private mortgage insurance industry.
  • Get acquainted with the Actuarial team, Pricing Implementation team, and broader company.
  • Understand the responsibilities and goals of the Actuarial and Pricing Implementation teams.
  • Develop familiarity with strategies, techniques, and tools used by the Actuarial and Pricing Implementation teams.
  • Gain an understanding of MGIC's data and pricing structures.
  • Develop knowledge of MGIC's rate engines.
  • Work with the Pricing Implementation team to contribute to price changes.
  • Work with the Actuarial team to contribute to various aspects of market research and related practices.
  • Participate in MGIC's Actuarial Science study time program.
Do you have what it takes?
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative-related major.
  • Completion of at least one actuarial exam or actively studying for the first actuarial exam.
  • Ability to work full-time hours throughout the summer on-site at our downtown Milwaukee campus.
  • Passionate about learning with a growth-oriented mindset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to complete project-related tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Experience working with a general-purpose programming language such as Python.
  • Experience working with a programming language designed for managing and manipulating data such as SQL.
Pay Range

$37,830.00 - $56,750.00

This range aligns with current market data and reflects our commitment to competitive and equitable compensation. Salary offers are based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and training. The range may vary in certain locations to reflect local market conditions. It is not typical to initiate pay at the top of the range to account for internal equity and allow for future and continued salary growth.
