Position Overview
We are hiring a Domestic Income Tax Manager to join our Global Tax team. The role is primarily responsible for overseeing federal and state income tax compliance, managing timelines, reviewing complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and completeness of filings, supporting tax planning initiatives, assessing the tax impact of business transactions, and mentoring junior staff while providing strategic insight to leadership on domestic tax matters.
Key Responsibilities- Manage U.S. federal and state income tax returns, including review of deliverables for technical accuracy and completeness.
- Manage extensions, estimates, and quarterly tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with filing deadlines and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed tax work papers supporting compliance filings.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and standardize compliance processes.
- Manage implementation of process enhancements and automation initiatives.
- Manage the use and maintenance of tax compliance systems.
- Support the evaluation of tax implications on domestic business activities (such as restructurings, I/C transactions, mergers, acquisitions, etc.).
- Monitor and apply US tax law changes to compliance processes.
- Manage data requests for the ASC 740 tax provision process.
- Collaborate with the tax accounting team to ensure consistency between compliance and ASC 740 reporting.
- Manage federal and state income tax audits/notices by preparing documentation and responses.
- Contribute to strengthening and maintaining strong internal controls over tax processes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in public accounting or corporate tax.
- Strong expertise in U.S. federal and multi-state income tax compliance.
- Strong Excel skills and analytical capabilities.
- Experience with various reporting systems is a plus (e.g., Hyperion, One Stream).
- Exposure to ASC 740 tax provision concepts.
Skills & Qualifications
- Masters in Tax is a plus.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with tax software is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced, global environment.
- Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the tax function.
- Continuous improvement focus.
- CPA is a positive, but not required.
