Work Model
You’ll work in a hybrid model, onsite at your designated Regal Rexnord location at least 3 days per week (Monday–Thursday), with flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days, including Friday.
Position OverviewThis Senior Director, PES Segment Controller leads the global segment accounting and controlling function and provides financial oversight, accounting guidance, and analytical support to the Power Efficiency Solutions (PES) business.
Directly manages three individuals and a US-based team of nine and an offshore team of three.
Manages indirect relationships with plant and division accounting teams in North America, EMEA, and APAC, and with Regal Rexnord corporate finance.
Responsible for building strong relationships, leading a team, leveraging data & analytics, driving process improvements, interpreting technical accounting, and maintaining compliance with accounting controls.
Reports directly to the PES CFO and serves as a key liaison and business partner with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Support Segment CFO in responsibilities.
- Management, development, coaching, and support for PES segment accounting team and other finance professionals within PES.
- Oversee accounting for North America division operating expenses, intercompany accounting, and general accounting performed centrally.
- Lead month‑end close process: reserve calculations, accruals, adjustments, communication with FP&A.
- Research and explain variances during monthly closing and quarterly segment analytics.
- Partner with plant controllers, corporate accounting, and external teams to explain entries and provide insights to FP&A.
- Support internal controls and compliance, ensuring processes, controls, accounting policies are understood and followed.
- Implement new accounting practices, policies, and compliance or law changes.
- Act as subject‑matter expert on all accounting and compliance matters for the segment.
- Business partner between segment, business units, and corporate accounting to drive communication, explain trends, minimize surprises and improve accuracy of financial reporting.
- Coordinate and support internal and external auditors with data requests during quarterly and annual audits.
- Oversee balance sheet review program: identify risks, communicate, and pursue remediation.
- Partner with IT and other functions to streamline finance processes and create new processes for key initiatives.
- Support enhancements to Oracle ERP system and implementation of One Stream financial reporting tool modules.
- Occasional travel for meetings or site visits.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in controllership and developing collaborative relationships across all levels and functions within a global organization.
- Minimum bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
- Minimum ten years of relevant and progressive finance/accounting experience.
- Strong communication skills, ability to establish strong relationships across multiple teams.
- Analytical skills to organize and translate data into decision‑making insights.
- Hands‑on initiative in investigating complex processes and developing innovative solutions.
- Ability to tolerate ambiguity, adapt to new situations and changes, and overcome obstacles.
- Manage multiple tasks, prioritize, direct work to meet deadlines with urgency.
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Commitment to coaching and mentoring staff for proficiency and development.
- High standards of performance with an engaging work environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems; experience with Oracle and One Stream is a plus.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Skills and Qualifications
- Advanced degree in accounting or business administration.
- CPA.
- Minimum two years of public accounting firm experience.
- Three years in manufacturing sector.
