Collections Representative
The Collections Representative performs a wide variety of credit and collection functions including processing and verifying applications for credit and soliciting payment on overdue accounts. Compiles necessary information from financial institutions such as banks and credit organizations to support credit decisions.
Responsibilities- Document collection efforts, maintain credit files, and support risk analysis for unpaid invoicing.
- Execute timely written and verbal follow‑up with customers.
- Drive collection activity through effective written and verbal communication in a fast‑paced, goal‑oriented collections department.
- Provide excellent customer service investigating disputes and processing credit memos/refunds.
- Review and process account adjustments.
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external customers to resolve inquiries or discrepancies.
- Perform credit checks on new or existing customers and determine appropriate credit limits.
- Work cross‑functionally across the organization to address root causes of invoicing inaccuracies.
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficient mathematical skills.
