Job Summary
The Credit Analyst Business Banking is responsible for managing and monitoring a portfolio of Commercial credit relationships. In this entry‑level role you will work closely with Relationship Managers (RMs) to support underwriting, credit analysis, and ongoing oversight of client portfolios.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and monitor a portfolio of commercial credit relationships
- Analyze and underwrite business and personal financial data to support credit decisions
- Prepare credit requests, including new originations, renewals, modifications, and waivers
- Ensure compliance with Wintrust Credit Policy, risk ratings, and financial reporting requirements
- Track and test financial covenants and reporting obligations for assigned clients
- Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers on loan closings and client interactions
- Serve as a secondary point of contact for clients, maintaining a high level of responsiveness
- Coordinate with internal credit, legal, and operations teams to facilitate timely and accurate execution of credit actions
- Participate in credit‑related training, including Wintrust Credit Academy courses
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0–3 years of experience in commercial credit, financial analysis, or accounting
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail
- Familiarity with business and personal financial statements and tax returns

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $53,000 - $77,000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors such as candidate qualifications, skills, and experience.
