We are hiring a Custody Operations Analyst 2 responsible for the management and oversight of Wealth, Corporate, Commercial, & Institutional Banking (WCIB) client accounts and products of various types and sizes established by clients for various purposes. This role is responsible for supporting incoming asset transfer activity within a high-performing operations environment. The Analyst reviews, processes, and executes transfer requests while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established procedures and service expectations.
The position requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex requests across multiple stakeholders. The analyst partners closely with internal teams, including relationship managers and administrators, as well as external financial institutions, to coordinate the movement of assets. The role involves assessing each request holistically, identifying potential risks or gaps, and proactively communicating next steps to ensure efficient and accurate execution.
- Review and process incoming asset transfer requests with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
- Conduct research and analyze transfer situations to ensure proper execution and risk mitigation
- Communicate professionally with internal partners and external institutions to coordinate transfer activity
- Anticipate next steps and proactively provide updates or required information to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures, service level expectations, and quality standards
- Identify process gaps and contribute to documentation improvements and procedural enhancements
- Support ongoing team initiatives focused on service model consistency and operational efficiency
- Maintain strong organization and time management to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
- May be required to provide supervisory responsibilities and apply independent judgement and decision making based on area of expertise
- Three years or more of related experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn custody operational functions, systems, procedures, various products and/or services, for assigned area(s)
- Ability to multitask and meet established deadlines in a dynamic work environment
- Exhibits analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
- Exhibits customer relation skills, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of regulatory and accounting principles which directly affect Wealth, Corporate, Commercial, & Institutional Banking business lines and clients
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, preferably Excel
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
