Responsibilities
Identify customer needs and provide advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that are in the best interests of customers.
Collaborate within the branch and with BMO partners to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve business objectives.
Guide customers into the branch lobby, discuss available digital and self‑serve options, and recommend alternative banking channels.
Conduct client conversations about banking services and recommend personal banking and investment advice.
Meet transaction‑based customer needs and execute seamless transactions.
Review customer profiles and engage in needs‑based conversations to identify opportunities for everyday banking products and credit cards.
Contribute to branch business results and overall customer experience.
Support operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, follow‑up on customer applications, filing, opening and closing activities.
Act as a key member of a collaborative and versatile branch and market team.
Probe and understand customer personal banking and credit card needs, integrating marketing promotions and programs into conversations.
Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Find creative approaches to personalize each customer’s experience.
Follow risk and compliance processes and policies, safeguarding customer assets and privacy.
Keep current with regulatory environment and uphold ethical standards.
Maintain knowledge of personal banking products, practices, and trends.
Identify and report suspicious activity potentially related to money laundering.
Complete complex and diverse tasks within given rules and limits and analyze issues to determine next steps, escalating as required.
QualificationsTypically between 1 – 2 years of relevant experience or certification in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic knowledge of personal banking products, specialized sales and business banking solutions.
Confident in using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
Experience in consultative customer service or sales with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
Strong interpersonal skills, listening, problem‑solving, and creative response to new challenges.
Good verbal & written communication skills.
Good organizational, collaboration, and analytical skills.
Canadian candidates: registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months).
Salary & BenefitsSalary range: $41,714.00 – $50,000.00. Salaries may vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications. Commission structure may apply. BMO offers health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
