Risk Manager/Analyst, Financial Compliance, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Responsibilities
- Lead the Model Risk Management Program and other operational risk programs, driving policy development, oversight, and reporting in alignment with regulatory and industry best practices.
- Establish and maintain cross‑functional partnerships with various Business Lines to ensure consistent application of program requirements and effective communication.
- Manage relationships with third‑party providers (e.g., model validators) and offshore resources as needed to support program objectives.
- Apply a logical, risk‑based approach to conduct independent analytics, challenge assumptions, and provide risk identification, root‑cause analysis, and ongoing monitoring of risk profiles.
- Serve as a liaison with independent testing and regulatory bodies, supporting committee and board reporting as directed by senior risk management.
- Deliver quantitative and qualitative risk assessments, review metrics, and prepare reporting to maintain an effective risk‑management monitoring program.
- Provide leadership, tactical support, and expert risk advisory on business‑line and company‑wide initiatives, ensuring decisions are grounded in sound risk‑based judgment.
- Lead and/or actively participate on corporate governance committees, forums, and working groups representing the Risk Management function.
- Provide training, development opportunities, and professional guidance on risk appetite statements, risk assessments, and other operational risk tools.
Bachelor’s degree—or equivalent combination of education and experience—in Audit, Compliance, Risk, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
Experience8+ years in the financial services industry with senior‑level responsibilities in Model or Operational Risk Management programs.
Less than 2 years of project management or leadership experience on cross‑functional projects, with proven ability to develop and execute tactical plans.
Less than 2 years of experience interacting with and influencing senior leadership.
Licenses & CertificationsVarious risk‑management related certifications preferred.
