Senior Domestic Income Tax Analyst
It is an exciting time to join Regal Rexnord! We are happy to share that we are hiring a Senior Domestic Income Tax Analyst to join our Global Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to expand their experience within a large, global organization. The role is primarily responsible for supporting federal and state income tax compliance within a co-sourced arrangement with a Big 4 accounting firm.
This includes coordinating the preparation and review of tax returns, providing accurate financial data, and ensuring deliverables are complete and filed on time. The role also supports the quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision process.
The Global Tax team at Regal Rexnord has recently begun a journey to become more strategic as it supports Regal Rexnord's growing global businesses. As a member of Regal Rexnord's domestic tax function, the Senior Domestic Income Tax Analyst will help to drive the team's initiatives to implement strategies that improve and automate the current compliance and tax provision processes.
The environment at Regal Rexnord is fast-paced, challenging and dynamic, requiring someone that has a high degree of internal motivation and drive to make a direct impact on the company's success. While this role will focus on federal and state income tax topics applicable to Regal Rexnord's fifty plus domestic legal entities, experience with typical U.S. international tax concepts applicable to U.S. multinationals such as FDII, BEAT and other non-U.S. aspects of within the U.S. federal tax return will be helpful.
Key Responsibilities- Support U.S. federal and state income tax returns, including review of deliverables for technical accuracy and completeness
- Assist with extensions, estimates, and quarterly tax filings
- Ensure compliance with filing deadlines and regulatory requirements
- Maintain detailed tax work papers supporting compliance filings
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and standardize compliance processes
- Support implementation of process enhancements and automation initiatives
- Support the use and maintenance of tax compliance systems
- Support the evaluation of tax implications on domestic business activities (such as restructurings, I/C transactions, mergers, acquisitions, etc.)
- Monitor and apply US tax law changes to compliance processes
- Support data requests for the ASC 740 tax provision process
- Collaborate with the tax accounting team to ensure consistency between compliance and ASC 740 reporting
- Support federal and state income tax audits / notices by preparing documentation and responses
- Contribute to maintaining strong internal controls over tax processes
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5+ years of relevant experience in public accounting or corporate tax
- Experience in U.S. federal and multi-state income tax compliance
- Strong Excel skills and analytical capabilities
- Familiarity with ASC 740 tax provision concepts
Skills & Qualifications
- Masters in Tax is a plus
- CPA is a positive, but not required
- Experience with various reporting systems is a plus (i.e., Hyperion, One Stream)
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with tax software is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the tax function
