Actuarial Specialist: Post-Graduate Program

Overview

As a member of the Post-Graduate Program, you will work under the direction of a credentialed actuary and engage in meaningful work to further our strategic initiatives. Program participants will research problems, analyze data, and present findings. Sound actuarial principles, timely completion of projects, efficient use of resources, and clear communication are expected. The program includes development opportunities, such as networking with actuaries across the department, on-the-job training, study hours, and engagement with Employee Resource Groups.

• Research problems, analyze data, and present findings to stakeholders.
• Apply actuarial principles and complete projects in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively and use resources efficiently.
• Engage in development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues across the department.

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related major.
• Strong analytical and communication skills and a demonstrated strong work ethic.
• Successful completion of an SOA exam.
• Working knowledge of Excel or similar office tools.

The Actuarial Specialist Post-Graduate Program runs for approximately eight months (October – May). There is potential to convert to a full-time employee status pending work performance and business need. This is a long-term temporary position expected to last 12-18 months. The program may include hybrid or on-site work arrangements.

Geographic pay structures may apply. Example structures include:

• Structure 110: $72,000.00 USD – $ USD
• Structure 115: $75,280.00 USD – $ USD
