Overview
The Portfolio Analyst (Institutional) is an exciting opportunity for an investment professional who enjoys pairing technical portfolio expertise with relationship-driven client support. In this role, you will be a key member of the Wealth Investment team, supporting portfolio management functions across client segments, partnering closely with Wealth Advisors, and contributing to Institutional and Retirement Plan Services relationships. This position offers exposure to portfolio strategy, investment analysis, client conversations, and cross-functional collaboration within a highly respected Wealth team.

Key Responsibilities Client Management- Serve as an investment partner for Institutional and Retirement Plan Services clients by understanding goals, supporting retention and growth, and delivering a consistent, client-centric experience.
- Execute and maintain client investment strategies, participate in client meetings, communicate portfolio positioning, and document client activity accurately in CRM.
- Partner with Wealth Advisors to support client reviews, investment discussions, prospect opportunities, and client/advisor inquiries.
- Develop, implement, and maintain investment strategies aligned with client objectives, risk profiles, and retention goals.
- Execute trades, rebalance portfolios, and support portfolio analytics, reporting, investment research, compliance filings, and ad hoc investment projects.
- Collaborate with Wealth Advisors to assess prospect needs and align investment solutions that support Institutional and Retirement Plan Services growth opportunities.
- Represent the organization professionally in client, community, and industry settings.
- Support investment strategy, portfolio construction, investment menu design, and manager/model portfolio oversight for Institutional and Retirement Plan Services relationships.
- Review investment lineups, allocations, performance, expenses, risk characteristics, and other factors to support prudent recommendations and fiduciary discussions.
- Ensure recommendations align with investment policy statements, client objectives, internal guidelines, regulatory expectations, and current market and retirement plan trends.
- Partner with Wealth Advisors, Financial Planning, Private Banking, Commercial, and other internal teams to deliver integrated client solutions and seamless account support.
- Contribute to investment strategy, client experience, training, process improvement, and strong internal partnerships across Wealth, Planning, and Investment teams.
- Adhere to internal policies, supervisory standards, and regulatory requirements while identifying and mitigating portfolio and operational risks.
- Maintain complete, accurate client documentation and apply sound judgment in daily client and portfolio activities.
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of investment experience. A combination of appropriate education and experience will be considered.
- Series 65 required or needs to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- CFA, CFP, or progress toward designation preferred.
- Strong investment knowledge, portfolio management judgment, client communication, relationship-building, and risk awareness.
- Ability to manage moderate portfolio complexity with accuracy, professionalism, ethical judgment, and documentation discipline.
