Then this full-time permanent opportunity at the Department of Financial Institutions – Office of Credit Unions as the Advanced Information Technology (IT) Examiner (Financial Examiner Advanced) is the perfect career for you! This important position regularly conducts on-site examinations of credit unions in the State of Wisconsin.

The candidate hired into this position will be assigned towork withina specificterritoryand will have their home designated as their headquarters city, however,
the incumbent must be willing and able totravel regularly throughout the State of Wisconsin including overnight stays to conduct business needs . This position will work remotely as their typical work schedule when not traveling for work.

All employees are generally expected to be headquartered and work within the State of Wisconsin. It is not anticipated that working outside of Wisconsin will be approved.

Position Summary

The Office of Credit Unions’ employees are tasked with regulating Wisconsin’s state-chartered credit unions for safety and soundness. Financial examiners regularly conduct examinations of credit unions through an evaluation of the institution’s financial condition and compliance with laws and regulations. Examination functions are performed on-site, physically at the financial institution, and remotely. The work environment is fast paced with multiple competing deadlines and requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and significant collaboration with team members and external stakeholders.

Salary

Information

This position is in schedule-range (07-02) with an annual salary of $80,600 - $87,880 (or $38.75 - $42.25), plus excellent benefits . A twelve-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

This classification series is eligible to receive up to a total of four sequential $1.50 per hour add-ons once criteria of each level are met.

This position requires the ability to regularly travel independently throughout the State of Wisconsin and at times, overnight.
