Mayville Engineering Company (MEC) is seeking a results-oriented Plant Finance Manager to serve as the primary finance business partner for an assigned region of manufacturing facilities across the United States. This role supports a portfolio of sites with combined annual revenue exceeding $100 million and plays a critical role in driving financial performance, operational excellence, and strategic decision-making.

As the direct financial partner to the region's Operations Director, the Plant Finance Manager provides financial leadership, actionable insights, and business analysis to support growth, profitability, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, the ability to influence business decisions, and a collaborative approach to partnering with site leadership teams. Role will be based in our Milwaukee Headquarters with travel expectations to assigned sites throughout the year, 10-20% travel expectation and opportunity to leverage remote Fridays.

Finance

Manager

Manages daily and monthly transactions, processes, and reporting for multiple operating facilities. Prepares financial and management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.

Job Responsibilities

Manages all facets of accounting including preparation of monthly financials, financial reporting, budgeting, and presentations to the management team on results for the facilities.

Business Partner with Operations to support annual performance targets.

Completes various ad hoc analysis of financial data as assigned.

Reviews monthly journal entries and performs account reconciliations.

Leads ongoing review and improvement of the departmental internal controls, including updates to the applicable policies and procedures.

Manages daily operations and processes within the plants, including inventory cycle counting and adjustments, capital acquisitions, product costing, plant performance, and other related production reporting.

Performs Gross Margin analysis on product lines and customer impacts.

Completes other projects and analyses as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements

Proficient with spreadsheets and database software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects quickly and accurately.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to meet deadlines with appropriate attention to detail.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required, or equivalent experience.
MBA or CPA license preferred.

Experience Requirements

Five years experience in finance and/or accounting.
Previous experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
Previous experience with publicly traded companies preferred.
