Our client, a municipal government department specializing in urban forestry and land management, is seeking a City of Milwaukee Code Enforcement Inspector to join their team. As a City of Milwaukee Code Enforcement Inspector, you will be part of the City of Milwaukee's Code Enforcement team supporting neighborhood compliance and land management initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to community engagement, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?- Conduct neighborhood compliance inspections to identify violations of city ordinances related to sidewalk snow and ice removal, tall weeds and grass, and vegetation encroachment.
- Post violation notices and accurately document inspection findings to ensure proper enforcement and community awareness.
- Monitor and assist in the administration of maintenance and land management activities on City-owned properties.
- Support urban forestry operations by verifying field conditions and overseeing contractor activities as needed.
- Work independently in various neighborhoods, managing your own schedule and ensuring timely completion of inspections.
- Valid Driver's License Required and own vehicle
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in outdoor environments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation.
- Effective communication skills to interact professionally with community members and team members.
- Valid personal vehicle for daily fieldwork, with mileage reimbursed at the current federal rate.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday during the designated seasonal periods.
