Milwaukee, Wisconsin – FROEDTERT HOSPITAL
Position:
Full‑time (FTE 1.0), onsite, standard hours 40.00, shift 11 am to 7:30 pm (Weekends and holidays as per schedule)
Job Summary
Works with other members of the Spiritual Services staff to provide spiritual care to patients, visitors and healthcare staff of Froedtert Health. position is full‑time in the emergency department/Level 1 Trauma Center.
Experience- At least one year of chaplaincy experience (preferred). Previous emergency department experience strongly preferred. Trauma‑informed education/training preferred.
- Completion of an undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s) from an accredited college, university or theological school (CHEA).
- Master’s theological degree from an accredited institution (CHEA) preferred. Certification as a chaplain by one of the four certifying bodies may be accepted in lieu of a graduate‑level degree.
- Satisfactory completion of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), or equivalent.
- Documentation of current endorsement or good standing within the individual’s faith or spiritual tradition (preferred).
- Ecclesiastical endorsement by a faith group preferred.
- Certification as a Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) with the Association of Professional Chaplains, the National Association of Catholic Chaplains, Neshama:
Association of Jewish Chaplains, or Spiritual Care Association within three years of hire.
