Reporting directly to the Imaging Services, or CT, manager, assists with daily dept operations; provides the key contact point for research, ACR accreditation, scanner/ injector protocols, department education, and QA. Interacts with radiology and nursing staff, physicians, patients and visitors for issue resolution, customer service, performance improvement and multi-level communication. Works in conjunction with radiologists, physicists and others to explore, develop and test new procedures, guidelines and protocols.
Liaison between members of the Imaging Services dept. Demonstrates above average skills with regard to performing routine and "special" diagnostic CT procedures, recommending changes and improvements. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum of three years of CT technologist experience is required.
Five years including experience as a lead technologist is preferred.
Education DescriptionPost high school completion of an ARRT approved program in radiologic technology is required.
1-2 years of college/university and/or undergraduate degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
Licensure DescriptionARRT registered and current State of Wisconsin license as a Radiographer are required.
Advanced certification by the ARRT in CT (RTR CT) is also required.
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
