About The Therapeutic Workshop
The Therapeutic Workshop is a private-pay therapy practice rooted in Bay View, Milwaukee. We provide effective, personalized care for individuals, couples, and groups—especially around stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, and relationship challenges.
We’re known for therapy that doesn’t always look “traditional,” including:
- Telehealth (secure video/phone)
- Walk-and-talk / nature-based therapy (in-person)
- Group offerings that support connection and growth
- Creative + experiential approaches
, including Tabletop Role-Playing Game (TTRPG) therapy groups
The Role
We’re hiring a hybrid psychotherapist who can offer in-person evenings and/or weekends (Bay View) and telehealth as desired. You’ll provide therapy to individuals and couples (groups are a bonus, not a requirement).
We’d also love to add someone who is willing to work with teens and/or kids (in addition to adults).
Responsibilities include:
- Assessments/intakes and ongoing therapy
- Collaborative treatment planning
- Strong, ethical documentation and clinical practice
- Showing up as a real human—bringing your style, values, and strengths into the work
Because we’re a private-pay practice, caseload growth can be slower than in insurance-based settings. We’re very open to clinicians who want to start part-time and build toward full-time over time. We’re also open to clinicians who prefer a smaller caseload— we’ll talk about what’s sustainable and aligned for you.
Licensure / SupervisionThis role is open to:
- Fully licensed clinicians (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist, etc.)
- Clinicians under supervision including LPC-IT and APSW
We provide:
- Weekly individual clinical supervision (free)
- Bi-weekly group consultation (free)
- Fully licensed clinicians: 70% of session fee (~$105–$87.50 per session
) - Clinicians under supervision: 60% of session fee (~$90–$75 per session
)
We care most about fit—our vibe, values, and services. We’re looking for clinicians who want to bring their unique selves into the room, build real relationships with clients, and contribute to a practice that’s creative, community-oriented, and grounded.
Groups & Community Offerings (Bonus)If you like running groups, that’s a big plus. We also pay clinicians to offer one free community group per month (optional) as part of how we stay connected to Bay View and the broader Milwaukee community.
What We’re Looking For- Strong clinical foundation + excellent relational skills
- Interest in creative, experiential, nature-based, or accessible therapy approaches
- Couples experience is a plus
- Interest in working with teens and/or kids is strongly preferred
- Availability for in-person evenings and/or weekends
Send:
- your resume, and
- a short note about what draws you to TTW (and your availability)
- (Optional: include your Psychology Today profile/website.)
