Mariah's Family Care Home is a family of group homes offering a supportive variety of services to adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. MFCH programs are designed to help residents achieve and function successfully in family, group living, and community settings.

We are looking for dedicated direct mental health caregivers, Full Time 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift, to assist clients living with mental disabilities to become part of our community. Your duties will include developing mental health coping skills and managing resident behaviors. Common duties include performing housekeeping tasks, assisting clients with meals, taking care of their personal hygiene needs, and running errands.

Knowledge of best practices in providing care and experience in a similar role is preferred. Ultimately, an outstanding Direct Care Aide is someone entrusted with the wellbeing of residents with a consistent approach with direct care. We are a direct care company founded by a Direct Care Aide.

Benefits and pay range
  • Up to $20 an hour based on experience/ shift
  • Benefits include health insurance, vacation, PTO, 401(k) match, dental vision, holidays, bonus pay, and planned flex working hours
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Providing assistance, comfort, and care for behavioral residents.
  • Administering medicine and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitoring the physical, mental, and emotional conditions of clients and reporting changes.
  • Developing mental health coping skills and managing their behavior.
  • Performing personal hygiene care, housekeeping duties, and preparing meals.
  • Assisting with the use of incontinence products or providing bathroom visit support.
  • Running errands, including shopping for groceries and basic household items.
  • Doing recreational activities with the residents.
  • Accompanying clients on trips, such as medical appointments.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school or equivalent (Required)
  • CBRF Certification (Preferred)
  • Experience in mental health and/or behavior clients.
  • Drug screening and background check required
  • A caring and consistent personality that enjoys structure and disciplined routines usually excels
  • Driver's License (Preferred, not required)
