Patient and Equipment Transporter

Advocate Health Care -  - Responsibilities:
Lifts and transports patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers or beds, properly positioning and securing patient using proper body mechanics.;
Transports patients to their destinations and may transport other items such as patient belongings, specimens, carts, wheelchairs and other equipment.;
Verifies and documents correct patient identification by comparing information from the printed ticket to ride to patient wristband; uses electronic software to track assignments.;
Disinfects and inspects transport equipment before and after use; maintains equipment and reports equipment in need of repair.;
Maintain appropriate confidentiality of patient information at all times.
