Manager Caregiver – Adult Family Home

Milwaukee, WI | Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts (8am-8pm or 8pm-8am)

Applicants MUST be fully CBRF certified and have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working specifically with behavioral health and mental health residents.

Position

Summary

Trinity Care is seeking a mature, experienced, and highly skilled Manager Caregiver to lead our caregiving team and oversee the daily operations of the home. This is a leadership role well-suited for candidates who demonstrate professionalism, strong judgment, and exceptional experience in behavioral and mental health care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Staff Development
  • Provide daily leadership, support, and direction to caregiving staff
  • Train employees on care procedures, documentation, behavior management, and de-escalation
  • Serve as primary back-up for staffing shortages, call-ins, or emergencies
  • Address staff concerns promptly, professionally, and in alignment with policy
  • Resident Care & Support
  • Assist residents with ADLs, personal care, and routine activities
  • Administer medications safely and manage all resident medication records
  • Maintain clear communication with healthcare providers and coordinate appointments
  • Build supportive relationships that promote residents’ independence and emotional well-being
  • Operational Oversight
  • Conduct routine facility walkthroughs to ensure safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance
  • Manage inventory, grocery orders, and supply levels
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation using ECP
  • Represent Trinity Care at case management and interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergencies or staffing needs
  • Behavioral Health Support
  • Utilize and teach effective behavioral interventions and de-escalation strategies
  • Monitor, document, and communicate resident behaviors
  • Ensure staff follow behavioral support plans accurately
  • Respond calmly and professionally during crisis situations, ensuring resident and staff safety
Required Qualifications
  • CBRF Certification (Medication Administration, First Aid, Fire Safety, Standard Precautions, etc.)
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience working with behavioral health and mental health residents
  • Demonstrated maturity, professionalism, and sound decision-making
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use documentation software (ECP preferred)
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including on-call responsibilities
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
Position Details
  • Full-time role with 12-hour shifts (8am-8pm or 8pm-8am)
  • On-call responsibilities included
  • Starting wage: $18.00+ per hour, based on experience
  • Written assessment required as part of the hiring process
