About the role: As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in patient care by gathering essential information during the clinical process under the supervision of Registered Nurses. Your responsibilities include assisting nurses in various activities and contributing to the delivery of high‑quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with RNs and healthcare staff, implementing established policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care and safety.
- Gather patient history, verify medications, and make appropriate referrals for follow‑up.
- Adhere to scheduled work shifts, respond to codes or patient crises per site policies, and assist healthcare practitioners as assigned.
- Prioritize infection control techniques and principles, contributing to the emotional and physical comfort and safety of patients.
- Maintain working areas, supplies, and equipment, attend mandatory staff meetings/training to uphold a high standard of healthcare delivery and professional development.
- Successful completion of an accredited CMA course.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
- Currently certified as a Medical Assistant in the State if required by state law or facility.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification if required.
1.0 FTE – CMA days, 5 shifts weekly (08:30–17:00), rotating weekend and holiday.
