We’re seeking a Physician Integration Specialist to support the physician and advanced practice professional recruitment, interview, hiring, onboarding, and integration experience across a defined market and/or service line.
In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted site-level liaison and integration expert, partnering closely with physician/APC recruiters, operational leaders, medical group leaders, candidates, and families to ensure a smooth, welcoming, and highly coordinated recruitment and onboarding journey.
About This OpportunityAs a Physician Integration Specialist, you’ll play a key role in creating a best-in-class candidate experience while supporting workforce planning, onboarding, succession, retention, and clinician integration efforts. You’ll work closely with site and market leadership to provide timely communication, coordinate interviews and site visits, share market and community insights, and help ensure recruitment and onboarding processes are consistent, compliant, efficient, and candidate-centered.

What You’ll Do- Serve as the primary site liaison during the pre-interview and interview process, providing consultation, education, and support to candidates, physician leaders, and recruitment colleagues.
- Partner with physician/APC recruiters to ensure a smooth, efficient, and effective candidate experience throughout the recruitment, interview, hiring, and onboarding process.
- Develop, coordinate, and schedule site visit plans, candidate itineraries, interviews, community tours, and related logistics.
- Educate candidates and their families on Advocate Health’s services, facilities, processes, culture, and local communities.
- Identify candidate and family needs, research resources as needed, and provide guidance to support relocation and integration.
- Maintain consistent communication regarding candidate status, itinerary development, market conditions, recruitment plans, and potential process concerns.
- Collaborate with operational and medical leadership to support assessment of candidate fit, including cultural alignment and skill match.
- Accompany candidates during site visits, gather post-visit feedback from candidates and leaders, and help evaluate the effectiveness of the visit experience.
- Partner with local administration, operations, medical group leaders, and recruitment colleagues to support development of practice descriptions and opportunity summaries.
- Support site-level workforce planning by identifying and communicating pending workforce concerns, recruitment trends, and potential retention opportunities.
- Brand and market Advocate Health by presenting the organization, services, programs, communities, and best practices in a consistent and compelling way.
- Maintain contact with new clinicians during the first year of employment to support a smooth transition, answer questions, resolve concerns, and gather scheduled feedback.
- Conduct exit interviews with departing clinicians, including retirees, and prepare reports for senior leadership to help track trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor credentialing, privileging, and licensing processes in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to support timely completion after offer acceptance.
- Proactively identify potential delays or gaps in hiring, onboarding, credentialing, and integration processes and help facilitate timely solutions.
- Oversee onboarding in partnership with department colleagues, site leadership, and new hires to help ensure a successful transition.
- Coordinate and support new hire house-hunting activities, clinical/site orientation, hospital orientation, and related integration needs.
