BGCGM is a large, multi-site organization focused on delivering high-quality experiences for Milwaukee’s youth and supporting workforce growth through strategic expansion.

Summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee is growing and opening operations in 10 new school sites in Wauwatosa, WI, with expansion to approximately 650 employees. This role provides HRBP services to the new sites in Wauwatosa and selected existing sites, partnering with operational leaders to ensure legal compliance, effective people management, and a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full-scale Talent Acquisition: post jobs, assist leaders with position descriptions, perform compensation analysis, and support workforce planning.
  • New Hire Employee Onboarding: educate leaders on TA processes, maintain Talent Acquisition Tracker, guide new hires through pre-hire onboarding, and verify I-9 and education/reference checks.
  • Employee Relations: apply compliant HR practices, conduct investigations, respond to new cases, and maintain the Employee Relations Tracker.
  • Performance Management: train leaders on ADP performance management tool, advise on performance assessments and pay implications, and maintain evaluation databases.
  • HRIS Employee Data Management: develop SOPs/materials, deliver training on ADP usage, process ADP transactions (hiring, transfers, promotions, terminations), and generate basic ADP reports.
  • Employee Talent Development: develop training materials to grow employees' skills in people-related areas.
  • Human Resources Policy Development: contribute to creating and revising HR policies, including those in the BGCGM Employee Handbook.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
  • Five to eight years of HR generalist or similar experience required.
  • Experience with HR Information Systems (ADP preferred).
  • Detail-oriented with strong administrative and organizational skills; able to ensure timely, accurate work in compliance with BGCGM policies and employment laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Professional ethics and alignment with BGCGM mission and values; ability to represent BGCGM positively among stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of practices relevant to the role and federal/state regulations; computer literacy with Microsoft 365 Office Suite.
  • Must have a valid WI driver’s license, a good driving record, and meet state automobile insurance minimums.
