The Vendor Management & Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for overseeing the full vendor lifecycle, from contract development and negotiation through post-execution management. This role partners closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to optimize supplier value, mitigate risk, and support strategic sourcing initiatives within the technology category. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-management skills, with experience managing complex technology vendor engagements.

• Accountable for execution of all processes and procedures across the vendor lifecycle, including contract development, negotiation, execution, and post-signature management.
• Partner with business stakeholders and functional leadership to identify vendor management opportunities that balance risk mitigation with value maximization.
• Support and execute strategic sourcing initiatives aligned with technology spend category strategies, including overseeing key sourcing engagements.
• Lead RFx activities and negotiate technology agreements such as EULAs, SaaS, and cloud computing contracts.
• Direct contract lifecycle management, including vendor evaluation, selection, transition, performance monitoring, and renewal activities.
• Manage vendor risk management processes, ensuring appropriate due diligence is performed by engaging Legal, Compliance, Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, Audit, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with client areas to develop and implement vendor risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead vendor relationship management by measuring and monitoring performance, developing improvement plans, resolving issues, and initiating contingency plans or disengagement when necessary.
• Develop and execute negotiation strategies using cost/benefit analysis, should-cost modeling, and market research to achieve optimal outcomes related to cost, quality, and contract terms.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate supply, contractual, and regulatory risks through cross-functional collaboration.
• Build strong relationships across the enterprise, monitor partner satisfaction, and establish collaborative partnerships to create value and synergies across accounts.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, MIS, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or vendor management.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex issues.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze strategic issues and effectively advise senior and departmental leadership.
• Proven experience building and managing relationships with internal stakeholders, external clients, and vendors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience in technology procurement or vendor management, including software, SaaS, and cloud computing.
• Operational or procurement experience within technology-focused environments.
• Ability to build external networks within the industry or relevant professional organizations.
• Located within the greater Milwaukee metro area (preferred).
