The Role
NXC Imaging is a service provider of capital diagnostic imaging equipment. We currently have an open position for a mid-level Field Service Engineer (FE) in Milwaukee, WI. The FE will install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and complete preventative maintenance of the equipment at NXC customer sites.
This is a field-based position. We are looking for a candidate in Milwaukee, WI.
- Install diagnostic imaging equipment effectively and efficiently.
- Assist/perform preventive maintenance and calibrations per equipment specifications and standards.
- Interact with customers to identify customer issues/needs, maintaining excellent customer relations.
- Properly troubleshoot, diagnose and service multiple products in one or more modalities.
- Answer technical and applications questions for internal and external customers and elevate to appropriate person if necessary.
- Improve personal productivity by enhancing product knowledge and skill set through formal and on the job training.
- Provide accurate and timely service reports, part orders, part returns, timecards, and expense reports and all other required reports.
- Respond to colleagues in a timely manner with ordinary courtesy (Service Support, Finance, Sales, etc.); maintain frequent contact with manager to present information or recommendations.
- Two-year post-secondary degree or certificate in electronic technology or equivalent training.
- Minimum of three years work experience, preferably in digital imaging field or experience in a specific modality.
- Experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment is preferred, experience with CT a plus.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of hand and power tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter who is able to work both independently and in a team environment, willing to travel overnights as needed, and be available for calls during off-hours.
- Perform specialized or technical work with unclear guidelines. Work is often analytical and involved, requiring judgment where policies and methods are not well-established.
- Ability to independently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
