The Role

The Finance Business Intelligence Analyst will partner with Finance and business stakeholders to translate questions into analysis, dashboards, and recurring performance reporting. This role focuses on interpreting trends, explaining drivers (the "why"), and communicating insights through clear visualizations and storytelling. CPI is a high-integrity organization, and successful team members, including those in this key role, will admit mistakes, take corrective action quickly (fail fast), and be diligent in providing the best solutions while meeting deadlines.

In addition, this role will support data governance and reporting processes by adhering to established standards and partnering with engineering teams to ensure data from multiple sources is used consistently and appropriately in analysis and reporting.

What You Get To Do Everyday:
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and recurring performance reporting using business intelligence tools such as Power Bi, Tableau, or Excel, based on the business case.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis on product performance, customer behavior, and market trends by investigating patterns, variances, and anomalies to understand underlying drivers and business impacts.
  • Investigate and resolve data‑related issues by analyzing reported results, identifying anomalies, and partnering with stakeholders to ensure accuracy. A natural curiosity about data and its drivers is critical.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, technology, and finance stakeholders to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increase data accessibility, and foster data‑driven decision making across the organization.
  • Create documentation for reports and update existing documentation for planned enhancement.
  • Promote work stream visibility by collaborating with team members.
  • Utilize repositories to track versioned report enhancements.
  • Perform other position‑related duties as assigned.
You Need to Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in information science, data science, information technology, information systems, mathematics, or relevant work experience
  • Three years or more of work experience in data analysis, data modeling, reporting writing/development, dashboard, and/or business intelligence toolsets
  • Experience working with data wrangling in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with business intelligence tools such as Power

    BI or Tableau
  • Experience analyzing data from various sources and formats, and applying data insights to cleanse and transform data into a standardized format
  • Knowledge of modern data warehouse or data lake technologies, such as Snowflake or Azure Data Lake
  • Knowledge of SQL, writing SQL queries, and views
  • Knowledge of Scrum and Agile Framework
