Overview
We are looking for an experienced IT Audit, Cybersecurity & Risk Senior Consultant to join our Risk Advisory practice. The role focuses on helping clients assess and mitigate technology risks across a broad range of areas.
Responsibilities- Work closely with client executives and management teams to understand their businesses and identify financial and operational risks.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of clients’ businesses and industries, using direct client interaction across multiple engagement aspects.
- Think independently and strategically to provide recommendations for business and process improvements aligned with client objectives.
- Provide strategic business assurance by assisting in the implementation of new processes and controls that address key risks.
- Assess, manage and optimize information technology risk across areas such as cybersecurity, IT strategy and governance, IT regulatory and compliance requirements, and business continuity.
- Review clients' processes and controls against industry frameworks, identify gaps in design and execution, and communicate issues and recommendations.
- Assist in developing audit programs and executing internal audits and IT control assessments in the following domains:
- IT strategy and governance
- IT operations, business continuity and disaster recovery
- Cybersecurity
- Third‑party risk
- ITGC and application controls
- SOC reporting
- Regulatory and compliance requirements
- Draft comprehensive executive summaries and final reports for client delivery, documenting and reviewing engagement work papers in line with industry‑accepted methodologies.
- Act as a business advisor, building relationships and communicating effectively to provide superior client service.
- Facilitate professional presentations to internal and external audiences.
- Continue learning in diverse technology environments, platforms, applications, and tools.
- Network and build strong internal and external relationships to support the growth of team members under Baker Tilly’s Care & Teach philosophy.
- Bachelor’s degree in management/computer information systems, computer science, accounting information systems, computer engineering, industrial engineering, or a related program.
- 3+ years of experience with IT audit or cybersecurity.
- Experience performing HITRUST engagements preferred; openness to obtaining HITRUST Certification in the future.
- Experience with cloud audit or relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CISM, CIA, CPA) preferred.
- Excellent analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, and time‑management skills.
The pay rate for this position ranges from $85,910 to $162,890. Compensation is influenced by skills, experience, qualifications, and location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
