Cloud Data Developer

WEC Business Services LLC, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Cloud Data Developer in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin or Chicago, Illinois locations. This position currently offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time regularly spent in the office.

This position is part of a job family (IT Applications Analyst and Senior IT Applications Analyst) where experience will be the determining factor. If you are currently in this Job Family, it will be a lateral move.

• Develop, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services
• Design and optimize data lake and data warehouse architecture
• Collaborate closely with data analysts, business stakeholders and other team members to model datasets and enable self-service analytics
• Enforce best practices in cloud security, cost optimization and infrastructure as code for cloud solutions
• Provide continuous operational support for the analytics ecosystem through proactive monitoring, issue resolution and ongoing enhancements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, MIS, Data Science, Information Science, Engineering; other degrees considered based on related IT experience.
• 2 years of IT experience
• Successful completion of a certified Application Development Apprenticeship considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

• 2+ years of AWS development experience
• AWS technology experience such as EC2, Lambda, EMR and Redshift
• Apache Spark framework experience and an understanding of distributed systems and storage
• Strong understanding of RDBMS systems, SQL querying techniques and data modeling principles
• Azure, Power BI and Fabric experience
• Production support experience with large enterprise applications
