Network Technician

Position Summary Our client is undertaking a large-scale network infrastructure refresh across multiple network closets and is looking for a resources to support the project. This role is ideal for someone with a networking who enjoys coordinating projects, working with multiple teams, and being hands-on with network equipment and cabling. The position will focus on network migration support, equipment moves, documentation, asset tracking, and stakeholder coordination.

Major configuration and after-hours cutovers will be handled by the core network team, while these resources will support planning, execution, validation, and communication efforts during standard business hours.

• Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors to schedule and execute network closet migrations.
• Assist with racking, unracking, and relocating network equipment.
• Support cabling migrations and network hardware replacement activities.
• Track assets, equipment moves, and cabling changes while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Coordinate IP address changes and verify functionality following migrations.
• Update network management and administrative systems such as:
  • Cisco ISE
  • Infoblox (IPAM)
  • Cisco Catalyst Center
• Communicate effectively with network, server, application, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide basic post-migration troubleshooting and validation of connectivity.
• Maintain detailed documentation, labeling, diagrams, schedules, and change records.

This is a Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
