We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Field Services Technician to support a large-scale hardware refresh initiative. In this role, you will provide hands-on technical support, perform laptop and desktop deployments, and assist end users with troubleshooting and technology-related issues. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with technology, solving problems, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laptop and desktop refreshes, including installation, configuration, migration, and troubleshooting.
- Provide on-site technical support to end users, ensuring minimal disruption to their daily work activities.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, asset tracking, and service requests.
- Collaborate with IT team members to resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Follow established IT processes, procedures, and documentation standards.
- Assist with device deployment, replacement, and lifecycle management initiatives.
Technical Skills
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting laptops, desktops, and peripheral devices.
- Basic understanding of operating systems, hardware components, and device connectivity.
- Familiarity with inventory management and asset tracking processes.
- Basic networking knowledge, including troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with users of varying technical abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and professionally.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a team.
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or comparable technical certifications.
- Previous experience in desktop support, field services, hardware deployments, or technical support roles.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
- Collaborative and supportive team atmosphere.
- Hands-on technical work involving the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of computer equipment.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
