Web Designer

Starkmedia, Inc. is hiring a Web Designer to support multiple web projects from our Milwaukee, WI office (onsite). This role focuses on creating responsive, standards-compliant websites and reusable design layouts/templates, with the flexibility to work either alongside a team or independently while meeting deadlines.

• Partner with Project Managers to create wireframes
  , design layouts
  , and templates
  .
• Support multiple projects at once
  , while maintaining the discipline to manage work independently and deliver on schedule.
• Contribute effectively in a team environment and also as a sole contributor with little or no supervision.
• Use excellent written and oral communication skills to collaborate and keep work moving.

• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and Java Script .
• Ability to create responsive and standards-compliant websites using these technologies.
• Proficiency with design tools
  , including the Adobe Creative Suite
  .
• Knowledge of UX principles to inform layout and design decisions.
• Knowledge of current design trends
  .
• Willingness to continuously learn and improve across these areas.

• 2-3 years of related professional experience as a web designer.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Web Design
  .

Travel: none. This position requires working from the Milwaukee office.
