Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst to join its Business Systems team and serve as the bridge between business users, technology, developers, and external partners.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can take a business need from initial discovery and requirements gathering through implementation
. You will work directly with users to understand their challenges, determine what can be improved, translate those needs into actionable requirements, and coordinate with internal and external technical resources to deliver the solution.

The organization recently implemented IFS ERP and is continuing to optimize how the system supports the business. IFS experience is a strong plus, but not required. Candidates with experience supporting major cloud-based ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or Infor will bring highly transferable experience.

This is an opportunity for a Business Analyst who wants to do more than manage a ticket queue. You'll have a meaningful role in helping the organization determine what should be built, how it should work, and how technology can make the business better.

What You'll Do Business Analysis & Requirements
  • Partner directly with business users to understand operational challenges, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead requirements-gathering sessions and translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to define project scope, priorities, desired outcomes, and success criteria.
  • Help users identify opportunities they may not have previously considered.
  • Evaluate whether a need can be addressed through existing IFS functionality, process improvement, configuration, custom development, or third-party solutions.
  • Create and maintain business requirements, functional specifications, process documentation, and related project materials.
Project Delivery
  • Manage business systems projects from requirements through implementation
    .
  • Coordinate timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and communication across business users, developers, consultants, and third-party vendors.
  • Maintain project status and ensure external partners remain accountable to agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve issues and keep projects moving forward.
  • Help prioritize competing business needs and build a practical project roadmap.
  • Support implementation activities and post-implementation follow-up.
Testing & Implementation
  • Develop, review, and execute test scripts.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
  • Identify, document, and troubleshoot defects or issues.
  • Validate that delivered solutions meet the original business requirements.
  • Support users through implementation and adoption of new functionality.
Business Systems Support
  • Manage day-to-day user access and system permissions.
  • Troubleshoot minor system issues and tickets.
  • Serve as an escalation point for business systems questions and issues.
  • Work with consultants and third-party providers when issues require additional technical expertise.
  • Develop an understanding of IFS and become a trusted internal resource for the platform.
  • Look beyond individual requests to understand the underlying business problem.
  • Ask questions such as:
  • What part of this process is creating the most difficulty?
  • What don't you like about the current system?
  • Why is this process harder than it needs to be?
  • Can IFS already solve this problem another way?
  • Partner with users and technical resources to identify better ways of working.
  • Help establish and continuously improve the organization's business systems roadmap.
What We're Looking For Required
  • Experience working as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role
