teams. Analyzing IT processes to formulate practical solutions using software, analytical tools and techniques, business processes, and deliver best practice-based IT (service) management. Representing IT to local and system leadership as needed, on a variety of operational and strategic projects and technical solutions, including hardware, software, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and mobile technologies/devices. Independently provides incident/request support, configuration of software and hardware, and is accountable for the implementation and maintenance of technical solutions to meet organizational requirements in alignment with ITSM and ITIL standards.
Supports on-call responsibilities as needed for clinical and operational functions.
Major Responsibilities:
- Ensures compliance with Advocate Health IT standards. Preemptively identifies variations from standards and potential technology issues. Participates in change control activities for any environmental, operational, configuration changes as prescribed by defined change control processes.
- Adhere to Advocate Health ITAM process for device removal, including inventory management. Proactively ensure the efficient utilization of Advocate Health's IT resources through regular reviews of hardware usage reports.
- Local field resource assigned to multiple projects including acquisitions, construction projects, new system implementations, upgrades, maintenance, or retirements while following IT system policies and practices. Lead project team meetings and provide technical guidance as necessary to technical support administrators. Support and implement IT and FTSO Strategic Initiatives that align with the overall goals of Advocate Health.
- Onboarding/mentoring/coaching field services teammates including training on Advocate Health policies, procedures, standards, and best practices. Provides education to the team as new systems, features, standards, or best practices are implemented.
- Building and maintaining relationships through rounding and consulting with Site Leadership. Establishes meaningful stakeholder relationships targeted at improving productivity and engagement between IT and our business partners. Must be able to represent IT to site and local leaders in situations such as meetings, rounding, and safety huddles. Participate as site representative on Advocate Health enterprise-wide technical oversight committees and teams.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
Required:
- None required.
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information System, Engineering, or related field.
Experience
Required:
- 5+ year of experience in a complex IT operating/support environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required:
- Must have excellent interpersonal and technical skills.
- Preferred background in Healthcare, Customer Service or Technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer service skills, excellent problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements and
Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift to thirty-five pounds without assistance . For lifts over thirty-five pounds, lifting equipment is expected to be used or lifted with at least one other associate when available. Unique lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
- Travel to Advocate Health locations required .
- This position requires incumbents to work onsite (unless specified otherwise) in both an office and clinical environment.
- On call support required
- Incumbents will be required to wear personal protective equipment in designated clinical areas.
