Come make a difference C is currently seeking an exceptional Lead Corporate Counsel to join our high-performing in-house corporate team.

You will be responsible for providing corporate legal counsel to MGIC.  This role is for the corporate generalist who thrives in a dynamic environment that allows for continuing growth and development.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including vendor agreements, customer agreements, technology services agreements, and reinsurance agreements.
* Advise on regulatory matters, including insurance, financial services, data privacy (e.g., state insurance laws, NAIC model laws, GLBA, CCPA).
* Oversee corporate sustainability reporting.
* Conduct legal research to support ongoing projects or strategies and provide timely legal advice to various departments.
* Collaborate with internal or external counsel as needed to address complex legal issues and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
* Take ownership of assorted corporate legal matters that arise unexpectedly or are not otherwise assigned.

* Education:

** Requires a J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Bar in Wisconsin.
*
* Experience:

** 3-7 years of corporate legal experience. Must have a willingness to undertake a wide variety of corporate legal issues. Experience in insurance or fintech viewed favorably.
** We are willing to train the right candidate and do not expect candidate to have experience in all responsibilities described.
**** Pay Range:**$ - $
* This range aligns with current market data and reflects our commitment to competitive and equitable compensation. Salary offers are based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and training. The range may vary in certain locations to reflect local market conditions. It is not typical to initiate pay at the top of the range to account for internal equity and allow for future and continued salary growth
