Staff Attorney

Miller & Miller, a respected Milwaukee-based bankruptcy firm, is seeking a Staff Attorney to join our growing Chapter 13 practice. This position is ideal for both newly admitted attorneys seeking hands‑on experience and experienced practitioners looking to manage an active federal practice with meaningful client impact.

In this position, you will primarily focus on handling Chapter 13 bankruptcies and assisting clients from post‑filing through discharge. This is a unique opportunity to work in a high‑volume firm committed to changing lives by providing critical legal support to individuals and families facing financial challenges.

• Represent debtors in Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, including post‑filing counseling, amended and modified plan preparation, and court proceedings.
• Conduct comprehensive client interviews to gather necessary financial information and develop case strategies.
• Draft and file Chapter 13 plans, motions, objections, and other relevant pleadings.
• Negotiate with creditors, trustees, and other parties to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
• Attend hearings, confirmation proceedings, and other court appearances as required.
• Advise clients on their rights, obligations, and options under bankruptcy law.
• Stay informed about changes in bankruptcy law and procedural rules to ensure compliance and effective representation.
