Join our dynamic team as a Buyer, where you will support the purchasing team through data entry tasks, update inventory, and analyze trends to assist purchasers in making informed decisions. Your role will include receiving and reviewing paperwork for accuracy, following up on purchase orders with suppliers to ensure correct pricing, shipment, and timely delivery. You will also collaborate with the Order Management leader on various projects and duties related to purchasing, and update the receiving schedule daily to reflect any reschedules, cancellations, or changes on purchase orders.
Responsibilities- Support the purchasing team through data entry tasks.
- Update inventory and analyze trends to assist in decision-making.
- Receive and review paperwork to ensure accuracy.
- Follow up on purchase orders with suppliers to confirm pricing, shipment, and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with the Order Management leader to complete various projects and duties related to purchasing.
- Update receiving schedule daily to reflect reschedules, cancellations, or changes on purchase orders.
- Expedite and defer goods as required with detail and a high sense of urgency.
- Proficiency in ERP/SAP systems.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, negotiation, and purchasing.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field; OR equivalent work experience.
- Experience in data entry, inventory management, and purchase order processing.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
