The Sourcing Specialist supports sourcing activities to meet customer and inventory requirements by researching and identifying sources for aviation parts. This role focuses on learning sourcing processes, systems, and aerospace compliance requirements while assisting senior team members in procurement activities.

Description Purpose of the JobThe Sourcing Specialist supports sourcing activities to meet customer and inventory requirements by researching and identifying sources for aviation parts. This role focuses on learning sourcing processes, systems, and aerospace compliance requirements while assisting senior team members in procurement activities.
Reports toSupply Chain Manager
Duties And Responsibilities- Research and enter part numbers and alternate part numbers company ERP system.
- Source aviation components using internal historical data and external platforms such as ILS and Haystack.
- Prepare, issue, and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to approved and prospective vendors.
- Enter vendor quotations into company ERP system.
- Support vendor onboarding and data maintenance in ERP system.
- Communicate sourcing challenges and part-availability issues with Sales, Business Development, and other internal stakeholders.
- Utilize technical data, manuals, and industry resources to identify viable sourcing solutions.
- Obtain and review required trace documentation and certifications (e.g. ISO, 8130, trace records)
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply) or 3+ years related experience.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Basic understanding of supply chain concepts (inventory, forecasting, procurement).
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
