Building Maintenance Supervisor at UMOS, Inc.

- Assist the Building Maintenance Manager in maintenance and repair of building grounds, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in compliance with local standards and codes
- Inspect and perform/coordinate repairs and upgrades to heating and cooling fixtures, valves, vents, and piping
- Supervise and schedule custodial staff to ensure high cleanliness standards and timely completion of tasks
- Oversee janitorial duties across agency sites in compliance with OSHA safety standards
- Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards; coordinate repairs for doors, windows, and fixtures
- Maintain interior cleanliness and upkeep of spaces, including glass, walls, stairs, floors, furnishings, and restrooms
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and coordinate procurement
- Assist with moving furniture and equipment and support event setup as needed
- Maintain exteriors, sidewalks, and grounds; perform seasonal tasks (mowing, trimming, snow/ice control)
- Open/close buildings as needed and respond to emergency maintenance issues; participate in on-call rotations
- Transport materials using UMOS vehicles as needed
- Attend meetings, workshops, and conferences as requested; perform other related duties
- Minimum of 5 years in building maintenance with at least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building structures; experience with janitorial duties
- Knowledge of cleaning materials and safety standards
- Ability to operate equipment such as forklift, scissor lift, pallet jacks, mower, vacuums, buffers, and other tools, following OSHA standards
- Willingness to respond to fire/police dispatches during emergencies
- Ability to work independently and multitask
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license with appropriate insurance; insurable to drive UMOS vehicles
- Ability to travel, irregular hours, and respond to emergency calls
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check
