ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Mentorship
Team Development:
Lead, coach, and inspire a team of entry writers. You’ll be responsible for performance management, career development, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.Operational Excellence
Oversee daily workflows to ensure 100% "first-time-right" entry processing, meeting all KPIs for timeliness and release.Resource Management
Manage account distribution, approve scheduling/PTO, and ensure the team is balanced and resilient.Regulatory Oversight
Ensure total adherence to CBP and PGA requirements. Serve as the subject matter expert on HTS classification, valuation, and country of origin.Special Programs
Guide the team through complex duty mitigation strategies, including USMCA, FTZ, and provisional duty programs.Process Innovation
Implement and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations and adapt to changing trade laws.Advisory Services
Act as a consultant for internal and external stakeholders on import regulations and trade compliance.Problem Resolution
Coordinate directly with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs officials to resolve shipment delays or compliance inquiries.
Required Qualifications:
Licensed: You hold a valid U.S. Customs Broker License
.Experienced: 5+ years in customs brokerage, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
.Expert Knowledge: Deep familiarity with U.S. import regulations, HTSUS classification, and PGA requirements.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard brokerage software.
Analytical: You can make sound, critical decisions even when information is limited or the situation is high-pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified: CCS, CES, or Cargo Wise certifications.
Educated: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Systems Knowledge: Advanced experience with ACE, ABI, and CTPAT/ISA programs.
