Vice President, Construction - Data Center Developer

We are partnering with a fast-growing digital infrastructure platform to appoint a senior construction leader to oversee delivery across a multi-market, multi-campus portfolio in the United States. Our client is recognized as a top 10 developer and operator of data centers globally.

This role sits at the center of the business - responsible for end-to-end execution of complex, mission-critical developments
, while shaping how projects are delivered at scale through disciplined cost control, strong governance, and high-performing teams.

As Vice President of Construction, you will own portfolio-level construction strategy and execution
, leading regional directors and external partners through every phase of delivery—from early planning and procurement through commissioning and operational handover.

You will act as a trusted partner to executive leadership
, influencing commercial outcomes through rigorous cost analysis, forecasting, and risk management, while ensuring consistency and quality across all active regions.

• Leading construction execution across multiple U.S. markets and campuses
• Owning capital delivery outcomes, including CAPEX planning, forecasting, and variance control
• Driving standardized approaches to pre-construction, procurement, and delivery at scale
• Building and leading a high-caliber team of regional construction leaders
• Managing third-party partners, contractors, and program management resources
• Supporting customer commitments tied to lease and delivery milestones
• Partnering closely with finance, development, and operations to ensure seamless handover
• Providing executive-level insight into cost drivers, site constraints, and optimization opportunities
• Embedding lessons learned and continuous improvement into future builds

• Senior construction leadership experience within data centers or mission-critical facilities
• Deep understanding of civil, structural, architectural and MEP delivery in complex environments
• Strong commercial acumen - comfortable owning budgets, forecasts, and contractor strategy
• Ability to lead through influence, clarity, and accountability
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• 15+ years in construction delivery, including senior leadership responsibility
• Experience managing distributed teams and national contractor ecosystems
• Willingness to travel extensively across active project sites
