Description
Project Manager – Vegetation Management. As a Project Manager, you will support the Senior Project Manager in delivering vegetation management projects that protect critical utility infrastructure and uphold environmental stewardship. This role focuses on assisting with project coordination, documentation, and operational support while learning advanced project management practices in a dynamic, safety-driven environment.

Salary
- Assist in managing phases of the project life cycle under vegetation management master service contracts.
- Support coordination between clients, stakeholders, and field supervisors to ensure smooth field operations.
- Help organize and schedule crews, track progress, and maintain project timelines.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including timekeeping, equipment/fuel usage, jobsite inventory, and supervision logs.
- Collect and organize receipts, material tracking, and crew activity documentation.
- Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly compliance and operational reports for clients.
- Participate in project meetings with internal teams and clients.
- Ensure adherence to company and client safety, environmental, and regulatory standards during site visits.
- Learn and utilize project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) for scheduling and reporting.
- Provide administrative support for change orders and project updates.
- Promote a professional and safety-focused work culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Forestry, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in vegetation management, utility services, or related heavy civil sectors (internship or field experience acceptable).
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Microsoft Project or similar tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and learn from senior leadership.
- Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
- Travel up to 50% - 75% across Wisconsin and neighboring states.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- PMP certification is not required but willingness to pursue certification is encouraged.
- Obtain ISA Arborist Certification within one year of employment.
- Obtain Wisconsin Core 6 Pesticide license within one year of employment.
- Occasional site visits in outdoor settings; walking on uneven terrain and exposure to variable weather.
- Ability to wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols.
- Standard workweek with potential for extended hours during peak phases or storm response.
