This nonprofit has a mission to cultivate a vibrant Milwaukee community by helping individuals, families and neighborhoods access basic needs, overcome barriers and connect to opportunities. With over 100 years of service, Milwaukee Community Crossroads is a cornerstone of community building through its diverse programs focused on youth, violence prevention, housing, nutrition, and senior services.

  • Experience: 8+ years of senior leadership experience in the nonprofit sector or similar experience.

  • Fundraising Success: Demonstrated success in strengthening philanthropic partnerships and resources, including capital campaigns, broad-based giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation grants, sponsor ships, and in-kind donations.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong ability to oversee complex budgets and revenue streams.
  • Communication: Outstanding communication, relationship‑building, and strategic leadership skills.

This position operates primarily in a professional onsite office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. The role requires the ability to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods while performing computer‑based work. Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds may be required, such as moving files, office supplies, or small equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

This role is designated as onsite, with the option to transition to a hybrid work schedule after six (6) months of successful performance. Employees interact regularly with colleagues, management, and external partners in both in‑person and virtual settings. Moderate noise levels typical of an open office environment can be expected. The position may require occasional travel, generally within the defined service areas, for meetings, training, or other business needs.

Travel is typically limited and planned in advance.
