Operations Manager
The client is a global consumer packaged goods company specializing in food and beverages, with operations spanning nearly 20 countries and products distributed in over 50 countries worldwide.
The client is seeking a Vice President of Operations to join their Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to the President of one of their largest subsidiaries. This role encompasses full accountability for the North American business's operations, overseeing supply chain, logistics, warehousing, procurement, quality, safety, engineering, and facilities through multifaceted plant operations.
The Vice President of Operations will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction while managing resources cost-effectively across multiple plant locations. They are tasked with establishing safety programs aligned with corporate policies, managing the business to achieve targeted profits and working capital, and enhancing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
The role involves collaboration with plant managers and procurement teams to improve operational efficiencies, driving lean methodologies, and ensuring corporate standards are met while adhering to regional processes and regulations. Additionally, this role involves mentoring employees and fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement through Kaizen, focusing on Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS), quality, and sustainability.
To be successful in this role, candidates are expected to have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field, along with over 15 years of experience in these areas within the food and beverage sector or similar industries. A minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience in operations and overseeing multiple locations is required.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate expertise in Continuous Improvement, lean manufacturing, and strategic operations management, with strong communication and leadership skills to inspire and unify teams. Remuneration includes a base salary ranging from $325,000 to $375,000, alongside bonuses, full benefits, and additional perks such as relocation assistance.
