Community President

The purpose of the Community President position is to oversee branch sales activities and results. The Community President coordinates and manages retail employees, branch operations, and activities. They also maintain a leadership role within the bank, branch, and community.

Responsibilities in the Community President role include:

• Working with the Regional Manager to create, monitor, and maintain action plans to achieve branch goals which support Water Stone Bank's strategic objectives, budgetary controls, and profitability.
• Maintaining a strong, visible, and positive presence in the community through involvement in community events/organizations and engaging in small business activities to promote the bank's products and services to prospective business customers.
• Working with the Regional Manager to maintain adequate staff, ensure proper handling of employee situations. Conducting interviews, hiring, monitoring employee progression, disciplining, or terminating employees when necessary. Recommending promotions, salary adjustments, and rewards.
• Motivating, coaching, and developing retail staff through education, technical, and sales training, constructive feedback, and performance management ensuring staff provides prompt, efficient, and accurate service according to WSB's service expectations.
• Submitting referrals to other appropriate lines of business including Residential lending, Business Banking, Commercial Real Estate, WIS, and Merchant Services.
• Maintaining knowledge of WSB's core processing system, WSB products and services, WSB policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements governing retail accounts. Planning, coordinating, and managing branch's administrative and operational processes and workflow procedures.
• Identifying and recommending reasonable changes to policies, procedures, and products.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience required includes 3 – 5 years sales and supervisory experience and 3 – 5 years business development experience. Preferred experience includes 5 years sales and supervisory experience and/or business development experience. Required education is a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Preferred education is an associate's or bachelor's degree in business or equivalent combination of education and experience or related field.

Working conditions include flexibility in work schedule and the ability to travel between office locations if warranted. A valid driver's license is required. Driving record must be in accordance with Water Stone Bank's Vehicle Safety Policy.

Required certification is Banker Certification completion upon promotion or within 18 months of hire or promotion date.

Direct reports are 3 – 7 and indirect reports are less than 5.
