The Construction Supervisor assists the Senior Vice President of Facilities/Regional VP in the refurbishing, remodeling, and maintenance of all facilities owned and/or operated by West Care and all related entities as well as construction management for grant funded projects in Wisconsin. The position will include extensive travel-local, regional and out-of-state, requiring overnight stays. This person is also responsible for interviewing, hiring and supervising construction workers as well as overseeing internal staff.

Essential Job Functions include those listed below.

• Interviews, negotiate rates of pay, and hires construction workers as needed for projects, and supervises the work of assigned construction workers;
• Supervises assigned staff and contractors staff under the direction of the Deputy Administrator/Regional VP;
• Determines methods, type of materials, supplies, machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for all construction projects;
• Provides assistance to the Senior Vice President of Facilities in new construction, refurbishing, and remodeling of all facilities owned and/or operated by West Care and all related entities;
• Provides assistance to the Regional Vice President of Wisconsin lead abatement, rehabilitation projects, and housing management.
• Plans and manages the facility operation budgets;
• Interprets and implements management policies and directives to ensure that the Foundation’s operational and business goals are achieved;
• Solicits and reviews responses to RFPs; making recommendations to the SVP of Facilities regarding proposals;
• Identifies and collects pertinent data for analysis and creates statistical spreadsheets and reports relating to special projects;
• Respond to concerns regarding facilities maintenance and safety issues by developing action plans and making recommendations;
• Prepares and submits reports concerning compliance with State and Federal safety regulations, fire codes, employee safety training, and facility maintenance;
• Makes regular site visits to assigned West Care facilities, including local, regional, and out-of-state locations;
• Attends all necessary meetings and trainings to gather information needed to satisfy West Care facility needs;
• Develops and maintains all appropriate files, records, and documents;
• Maintains compliance with all lease and contractual expectations in relation to facility operations;
• Works harmoniously with West Care Foundation parties, including Finance, Human Resources, Professional Services, Office of the General Counsel, etc.;
• Embrace and embodies the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of West Care Foundation;
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Construction Manager (CCM) or similar certification preferred, but not required;
• Lead abatement Supervisor license;
• General Contractor license.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain West Care's vehicle insurance is required.

• At least two (2) years’ experience in a comparable role required;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team required;
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion required;
• Knowledge of building, fire, and safety codes and regulations required;
• Ability to review and determine maintenance necessary to maintain safe facilities required;
• Ability to be aware of and adhere to specific time frames and time limitations required;
