HDR is seeking a strong
Resources Business Group Manager to lead our team in the Minnesota and Wisconsin area.

The Resources Business Group provides broad engineering, consulting, and planning services to a strong client base in Minnesota and Wisconsin and has staff of150+employees at locations in St. Louis Park, MN, Milwaukee, WI, and Madison, WI, offices. The group provides expert services to a broad cross section of clients in Power, Industrial, Waste and Renewables. This position is responsible for developing teams and implementing strategies to grow the business and continuing to diversify the client base.

Responsibilities also include collaborating with the Business Development Lead in supporting strategic client and project pursuits, providing technical expertise, overseeing quality of deliverables, and supervising and mentoring staff. The group manager prepares annual revenue forecasts and budgets, monitors financial performance of the business group, and helps to sell and win projects that match the expertise and developmental goals of the staff for their respective cost center.

This position works cooperatively with their counterparts in the Central Region and National Directors to coordinate services with other business lines in the company.

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of 15 years’ experience in related Resources projects, in any of the specialty areas represented by the group, i.e. Power, Waste, and/or Industrial markets.
• 10+ years’ experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and client relationships.
• Ability to set and execute a strategic direction for the Resources practice that aligns with the firm's overall vision and long-term goals.
• Positive marketplace experience is required with specific emphasis on a strong reputation and successful project delivery.
• Recognized industry track record of delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions, meeting both client and regulatory expectations.
